The Holiday Inn Express is a very good and economic solution for a couple of nights in Hong Kong. The breakfast is included in the price, something which is not common here, and the Internet is free, also not very common. The rooms are very nice and the bed is comfortable, this is not common either, the Chinese like really hard mattresses.
On Saturday we took Teo and Danaë to the Ocean Park. A big amusement park with Sea lions, Dolphins, a huge aquarium and Panda bears. Take a look at the album, click on the link in "Places we go to". The weather was beautiful, clear blue sky and hot, hot, hot. My husband and I were glancing at the beach over in Deep Water Bay and yearning for a relaxed day at the beach. We left the park with: one pair of Fairy wings, 1 Sea lion, 1 Halloween lamp, 2 panda pencil boxes, 1 panda book, 2 T-Shirts and 1 penguin that can dance. Danaë and Teo had a great time, I was exhausted and Kostas dehydrated.
In the evening we found a restaurant in the Food Forum in Times Square with the best steaks and creme brulee we have ever had, we were soo happy!!! Teo wasn't really interested in eating he was running around outside the store, Danaë joined him after she had finished her dinner. She gave us all a show in dancing as a Fairy with her new pink wings. After dinner back to the hotel dead tired, as I was putting the little ones to bed Kostas went for a walk in the mall. Just for window shopping he said. But when he came back he had a little bag for me... (it was the new ipod 120GB in black). That was a good ending of a long day!!!
Next day, (Sunday) we went shopping, H&M, Marks and Spencer and Geox. Teo got a whole new wardrobe from underwear to rug sack almost everything with Thomas the Tank Engine. Danaë picked up another folklore skirt among some other Hello Kitty clothes.
Around 17:00 it was time to get back to Guangzhou and Phoenix Island.
